Built by runners, for runners — the Real Insurance Harbour 10 is a fast, flat 10km lap of one of the most spectacular harbours on earth. Brought to you by Pont3, the team behind the TCS Sydney Marathon, it's a bold mid-winter race that's become a Sydney favourite, with around 8,000 runners taking on the course each July.
Start at The Rocks, loop the harbour, and own the streets. The single-lap course rolls down Hickson Road, crosses Pyrmont Bridge, cruises Darling Harbour, charges through Barangaroo and finishes back at The Rocks — no hills to kill your flow. It's a World Athletics-certified course, so it's a legitimate place to chase a 10km PB.
Take on the 10km or the 5km — both flat, fast and welcoming to all paces. Team prizes reward groups who show up and get involved, and there's even a chance for team captains to win a spot in the TCS Sydney Marathon.
July isn't the off-season, it's the launchpad. Whether you're building base, chasing speed or just after a good day out, the Harbour 10 delivers cool conditions, a big afterparty, and on-course entertainment to keep the energy high.
The 2026 event is on Sunday 26 July, with the 10km from $75 and the 5km from $65, and prices were lowered from last year, so it's good value. Register via Race Roster. The Rocks is easy to reach by train, bus or ferry, so leave the car at home.
