A classic Sunshine Coast hinterland trail ultra across the Blackall Range, with 100km, 50km and 21km options.

The Blackall 100 is one of Queensland's most loved trail races, winding across the Blackall Range through the lush Sunshine Coast hinterland. Think vibrant ferny gullies, subtropical rainforest, towering eucalypts, waterfalls and quiet hinterland hamlets — it's a stunning slice of south-east Queensland, run on flowing and runnable trail.
The marquee event is the 100km, a true ultra with serious climbing, but there's also a 50km for those stepping up to ultra distance and a 21km for runners wanting a taste of the Blackall trails. All distances start and finish at the QCCC at Mapleton, making for a great event hub and finish-line atmosphere.
October on the Sunshine Coast can be warm and humid, so train for the conditions, dial in your hydration and don't go out too hard early. The course is well-marked and well-supported with aid stations, making it a popular choice for a first 100km. Mapleton and nearby Montville and Maleny are gorgeous spots to base yourself for the weekend. Enter early, as the longer distances fill up.
