Run on Friday 17 July, the Sunshine Coast Coastrek works its way down the shoreline to Mooloolaba: 50km teams set off from Noosa at 6am, the 30km from Peregian Beach and the 20km from Marcoola late morning. Queensland's winter is the kindest hiking weather in the series, and the course is nearly all beach and headland. Teams of two or more each pledge $500 to Beyond Blue, and spots fill fast — the southern editions sold out well before event day in 2026.
Coastrek is a team trekking challenge for Beyond Blue, walked in teams of two or more, and the organiser publishes only the top three teams in each distance rather than a full field. The Path Makers were quickest over 50km on Friday 17 July 2026 in 6:03:51, more than two hours clear of the next team.
