The Berwick Half Marathon is the City of Casey's only half marathon, run on Sunday 9 August 2026 at Berwick Springs Park in Melbourne's south-east. 2026 marks the event's fifth anniversary. The course is a flat 5.25km loop around the park's lake, repeated for the longer distances, which keeps runners in sight of family and supporters for most of the way.
There are five options across the day: the 21.1km half, a 10km, a 5km fun run, a Kids Mile for 7 to 13 year olds and a 400m Junior Jog for under-7s, all open to walkers as well as runners. Run by Stride Event Management, it leans into a family-friendly, relaxed feel rather than a hunt for fast times, though the flat loop is honest enough for a solid result.
Harrison Brooks won the 2026 Berwick Half Marathon in 1:13:37 on Sunday 9 August, two minutes twenty-one ahead of Darren Jeffreys. It is the third straight year the winning time has come down at Berwick, from 1:16:47 in 2024 to 1:14:01 in 2025 and now inside 1:14. Rhiannon Peterson was the fastest woman in 1:28:50, 29th overall in a field of 488 half marathon finishers.
