The Mornington Running Festival follows the Mornington Peninsula coast, running the Esplanade from Mornington Park out toward Mt Martha and back. The 2027 event is on Sunday 2 May, with a half marathon, 10km, 5km and a 1km kids' run. It is a relaxed, scenic bayside event rather than a big-city race, every finisher gets a medal (and a donut), and Mornington is an easy hour from Melbourne for a coast-and-run day out.
