South Australia's Coastrek got three new routes in 2026, all finishing at Goolwa: 50km from Parsons Beach, 30km from Victor Harbor and 20km from Chiton Rocks, tracing Encounter Bay on sections of the Heysen Trail. Early September is whale-watching season on this coast, and the event sits an hour south of Adelaide with McLaren Vale on the drive home. Friday 4 September; teams of two or more, each member raising $500 for Beyond Blue.
