A community running festival through South Australia's Coonawarra wine region, with a half marathon, 12.6km, 6.3km and family events raising funds for mental health.

The Coonawarra Running Festival is held on Saturday 7 November 2026, starting and finishing at Coonawarra Memorial Park in the heart of South Australia's Limestone Coast wine region. The course rolls through the Coonawarra vineyards on quiet limestone and gravel roads, closer to country-road running than smooth bitumen, so it is not a course built for a road PB.
There is a distance for almost everyone. The half marathon goes off first at 8:30am, followed by the 12.6km at 9:30, separate men's and women's 6.3km races at 10:30, and a 1km dash for the kids. Walkers have the untimed 5km Wobbly Winery Walk, and a gold-coin mini fun run closes out the morning. Entry ranges from $5 for the 1km to $75 for the half, with prize money for the top three in each timed race. Water stations are cupless, so bring your own bottle.
The festival is built around a cause. Over four years it has raised $108,000 for mental health programs across the Limestone Coast, including a youth awareness program piloted in local high schools. Once you cross the line, Coonawarra Memorial Park turns into a community day with food, market stalls and live music. Registration is through Race Roster.
