A trail half marathon at Lake Parramatta Reserve in Sydney, on a single 21.1km lap of waterfront paths, singletrack and fire trail past a waterfall, capped at 450 runners a day.

The Sydney Trail Half Marathon (STHM) is a trail half run at Lake Parramatta Reserve, a pocket of bushland in the heart of Sydney, by the team at 180 Cadence. The next edition, the Winter Edition, is on the weekend of 4–5 July 2026 with a 7:15am start each day. It's a single 21.1km lap on a genuine mix of waterfront paths, technical singletrack and fire trail, taking in a waterfall and lakeside views, with around 386m of climbing and a four-hour cut-off.
It's a small, well-run event — capped at 450 runners per day — and run cupless, so you carry your own flask and a few mandatory items. Every finisher gets a medal and a bucket hat, with a post-race BBQ and a swim in the lake on offer. STHM also runs Summer and Night editions through the year on the same Lake Parramatta course.
