Run Echuca Moama is a community fundraiser on the Murray River, based at the Kerrabee Sound Shell in Moama on 2 August 2026. Organised by Community Living & Respite Services, it offers a 21.1km half marathon, a 10km and a 5km, all open to runners, walkers and wheelchairs, plus a junior event.
Every entry supports the Opening Doors Project, which helps people with disability take part in community life. Flat and friendly across the twin towns of Echuca and Moama, it is far more about participation and cause than fast times.
Want a second crack at the same stretch of river? Sweat vs Steam runs the Echuca side each November over 10km and 5km, plus kids' dashes, and sets you against the PS Pevensey paddle steamer rather than the clock.
Tim Dooley won the 2026 Run Echuca Moama half marathon in 01:13:41 on Sunday 2 August 2026. Adrian Beer took the 10km in 00:32:12 and Jamie Cook the 5km in 00:16:46, having also finished second in the 10km. 762 runners finished across the three races.
