Run the Bridges is not going ahead. The event was scheduled for Saturday 5 September 2026 at Penrith and would have been its first running. As of 29 August 2026, every official channel has either closed or disappeared.
What we checked:
Elite Energy has published no cancellation notice that we can find, and the race still appears on AusTriathlon's sanctioning list and on several race calendars that have not been updated. If you entered, contact Elite Energy directly about a refund or transfer.
The plan was a Saturday morning out of Penrith Panthers Leagues Club, following the Nepean River paths between the M4 bridge and the Yandhai Nepean Crossing, over 2km, 8km, 15km and a half marathon. It never ran, so there are no results.
Western Sydney Lakes Marathon is the closest replacement in every sense: same organiser, 3km up the road at the Regatta Centre on 21 November, with a marathon, half, 10km, 5km and 2km. Sooner than that, Run for the Hills at Bella Vista is on 6 September, and the Sydney Half at Sydney Olympic Park follows on 13 September.
Last checked 29 August 2026. If you know more, including anything from the organiser, tell us and we will update this page.
