The Traralgon Marathon is the oldest continuously run marathon in Australia, first held in 1968 and staged every year since in the Gippsland town of Traralgon, east of Melbourne. Run each June, it offers the full marathon, a half marathon and a 10km on a flat, fast country course. A piece of Australian running history, and a low-key, no-frills event with a loyal following.
