Fremantle is one of Australia's great cities — compact enough to walk end to end, full of character, and possessed of a maritime history and pub culture that makes it one of the more enjoyable places to spend a race weekend. The Revo Fitness Fremantle Running Festival, organised by the West Australian Marathon Club, takes all of that character and routes it through the streets of Freo on 8 November 2026 for a half marathon, relay, 10km, 5km, and 300m fun run.
The course weaves through Fremantle's heritage streets and along the waterfront, taking in the working port, the Victorian architecture of the West End, and the energy of one of Perth's most beloved precincts. The West Australian Marathon Club runs tight, well-organised events, and online registrations close on Thursday 5 November — three days before race day.
Half Marathon (21.1km, solo and relay options), 10km, 5km, and a 300m fun run. The relay option for the half marathon is a great way to do the event as a team.
The South Fremantle pub, Little Creatures Brewery, the Fremantle Markets, and the fishing boat harbour are all within easy reach of the race precinct. November in Fremantle is getting warm but not yet hot — conditions that reward an early start and a long recovery lunch at one of the waterfront restaurants. Perth is a genuinely underrated running city, and the WAMC events calendar is one of the best organised in Australia.
Fremantle is 19km from Perth CBD, connected by a direct train line from Perth Station (Fremantle line). Perth Airport is about 45 minutes away by car. Fremantle itself has excellent accommodation, from backpacker hostels to boutique hotels in converted heritage buildings.
