The Forster Running Festival is a Run Fest road event on the NSW Mid North Coast, based at the Forster Beach precinct. The 2027 event is on Sunday 15 August, with five distances: a marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km and a 3km family run.
The twin towns of Forster and Tuncurry sit either side of the entrance to Wallis Lake, joined by the road bridge that the longer courses cross — the marathon's repeated bridge crossings are the event's signature. August on the coast is cool and stable, good for a road PB, and the courses are flat with aid stations roughly every 2km. Every finisher gets a medal, and the marathon, half, 10km and 5km award overall placings.
Robert Fish won the 2025 half marathon in 1:17:09 on Sunday 17 August, two minutes seven clear of Dylan McCormack. Jamie Turner and Brock Jagoe could not be separated for fourth, both timed at 1:21:55. Ellie Clemensen was the fastest woman in 1:35:55, 32nd overall from 320 finishers. The half was the longest race on the programme that year — no marathon was held.
