Run Forster returns to the NSW Mid North Coast on Sunday 21 February 2027, the day after Elite Energy's NSW Triathlon Club Championships on the same weekend. Four distances run under Elite Energy's management — a half marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km, the 21.1km new for this edition — with the event village at Oyster Parade and the course starting on North Street. The three-lap half marathon and two-lap 10km share the same loop through Pebbly Beach Park and past Forster Surf Life Saving Club, crossing the Head Street bridge into Tuncurry and along the rockwall; that bridge is the only real climb, about 38m a lap, so the half takes it on three times for roughly 144m all up, with a 3-hour-40 cut-off. Around 300 runners finished across the three distances in 2026, and the shared pathways are narrow enough that wheelchairs aren't permitted and prams are restricted to the 2km. This is not the Forster Running Festival, a separate August event on the same beachfront run by a different organiser, Run Fest.
The event's most recent edition, in February 2026, ran combined with an ocean swim as "Run & Swim Forster": the 10km was won by Jake Myors in 32:23 from Riley McClung, with Monica Moorfield the fastest woman in 45:19, 16th outright. Whether the swim legs continue alongside 2027's expanded running program isn't stated on the event page yet.
Entries for 2027 haven't opened, so pricing isn't published. As with Elite Energy's other events, AusTriathlon provides sanctioning and insurance — that's not a course certification.
