Run Wagga Wagga follows the Murrumbidgee riverbank through the middle of Wagga Wagga, a mostly flat route over parkland and sealed shared paths. Every distance finishes in the Riverside Precinct, the stretch of open parkland and waterways beside Wagga Beach.
The 2027 event moves to Saturday 24 April, with a half marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km listed. The 2026 edition ran in early March and included a marathon that the 2027 programme has dropped — worth checking back on if a full distance matters to you.
Mitchell Nasser won the 2026 half marathon on 7 March in 1:19:06, with Genevieve Thompson the fastest woman in 1:32:15, 7th overall. That edition also included a marathon, dropped from the 2027 programme.
