The Toowoomba Running Festival is a one-day celebration of running held each May in Toowoomba, on the Darling Downs west of Brisbane. Having evolved out of the former Toowoomba Marathon, the revamped program is headlined by the ASICS Half Marathon and backed by a 10km, a 5km and the Toowoomba Mile, with courses winding through the Garden City's parks, gardens and heritage streetscapes. The cool autumn climate up on the range suits distance running.

The Toowoomba Mile is the pick for something different: run in Elite, Junior and Open categories plus a Mile Relay, and it also carries a state title. Queensland Athletics awards its Queensland Road Mile Championship here, one of a handful of winter road championships the association attaches to established events rather than staging as standalone races. Championship allocations are reviewed each year, so confirm with Queensland Athletics before entering on that basis (last verified August 2026).

Cassie Fien was the fastest woman in 1:20:22, seventh overall.
