Run for the Hills is the Hills District's big community fun run, held on Father's Day, Sunday 6 September 2026, in the historic grounds of Bella Vista Farm in Sydney's north-west. Organised entirely by volunteers from the Castle Hill Rotary Club, it offers three lap-based options on the farm's cross-country trails: a 3.7km family circuit (with an optional Colour Run and fancy dress), a 7.4km, and an officially timed 11km Challenge.
It is very much a family day out, dogs and prams included, with markets, food trucks, kids' rides and a festival atmosphere, and every finisher gets a medal. Entry supports local youth mental health, crisis housing and mentoring charities.
