Coastrek started here in 2009, and Sydney remains the series flagship. Teams of two or more hike 50km from Palm Beach, 30km from Mona Vale or 20km from Long Reef, all converging on Manly via the Northern Beaches coastal trail and the harbour panoramas of North Head. It's a Friday event with staggered starts (the 50km leaves at 6am with a 15-hour cutoff) and it sells out — the 2026 edition filled well ahead of the day. Every walker pledges to raise $500 for Beyond Blue.
